If weeds targeted during your scheduled application don’t die, contact us and we’ll return to spot-treat them at no additional charge on our Silver and Gold programs. This guarantee applies to weeds that were treated but survived the original application, not new weeds that emerge between visits. Every application is documented with the products, rates, and timing used, so you know exactly what your lawn received.

Specialized Dallisgrass and Bermuda Grass Control
Dallisgrass and unwanted Bermuda grass can be difficult to control in tall fescue lawns and may require a specialized, multi-step treatment plan. Depending on the severity of the infestation, treatment may involve carefully treating affected areas with a non-selective herbicide, followed by reseeding once conditions are suitable.
Why these grasses are so hard to control
Dallisgrass and Bermuda grass are tough perennial grasses. In a tall fescue lawn, the treatments that effectively control them can also damage or kill the surrounding fescue, so they are difficult to remove selectively. Results take time, and these grasses cannot always be eliminated with a single application.
Evaluate the lawn
We evaluate each lawn individually, looking at the grass species present, how severe the infestation is, and the overall condition of the lawn, then recommend the most appropriate plan.
Treat affected areas
In some cases, the most effective approach is carefully treating the affected areas with a non-selective herbicide. This kills the unwanted grass, but it also kills the desirable fescue in those spots.
Follow up as needed
Depending on the extent of the infestation, treatment timing, and results, more than one treatment may be needed before the unwanted grass is eliminated.
Reseed with tall fescue
Once the unwanted grass has been eliminated and conditions are suitable, the treated areas are reseeded with tall fescue to restore the lawn. Follow-up seeding may also be needed.
Priced separately from Bronze, Silver, and Gold
Because this process requires additional labor, specialized treatments, and potentially follow-up seeding, Dallisgrass and Bermuda grass control is not included in our standard lawn care programs and is priced separately when needed. Each lawn is evaluated individually, and a customized treatment recommendation and additional pricing will be provided before work begins.
Your Bronze, Silver, or Gold program covers the services listed in your selected package. Dallisgrass and Bermuda grass control is only performed when it’s needed or requested, and only after you approve the recommendation and pricing.

Evaluate the lawn
We identify your turfgrass species and assess density, shade, drainage, and problem areas before recommending anything.
Identify the weeds
Weeds are identified by species so we can select the treatment method and product best suited to that weed and your grass type.
Apply at the right rate and time
Products are applied at label-directed rates and timed to the season, when they will do the most good.
Fertilize based on results
When soil testing is appropriate, pH and nutrient results guide fertilizer and soil-amendment decisions, so identified deficiencies are addressed and unnecessary applications are avoided.
Lab results, not guesswork
We use a soil probe to collect samples from multiple representative areas of your property, combine them, and submit them to the University of Tennessee Soil, Plant and Pest Center through UT Extension for laboratory analysis.
The report shows your soil pH and nutrient levels, along with recommendations that help guide fertilizer and soil-amendment decisions. That lets us base recommendations on your actual soil conditions rather than relying only on a standard fertilizer program.
