Effective weed control is two things: preventing next year’s weeds with well-timed pre-emergent barriers, and knocking out this year’s weeds with the correct post-emergent selection. Most weed problems in East Tennessee are timing problems, the wrong product at the wrong soil temperature. We do the timing part carefully.

- Grassy weeds. Controlled with soil-temperature-timed pre-emergents, then selective post-emergents on anything that breaks through.
- Broadleaf weeds. Treated with selective post-emergent applications matched to the season and the weed pressure in your lawn.
- Sedges. Not true grasses or broadleaves, so these get specialty herbicides that most all-in-one products simply do not contain.

How long after treatment before we can use the lawn?
For most post-emergent applications, we recommend staying off the treated area until it’s fully dry, usually 1-2 hours in dry weather. We’ll tell you exactly at the visit.
Will your treatments kill my grass?
No. We use selective herbicides that target broadleaf or grassy weeds while leaving your desirable turf untouched. This is where product selection and applicator training matter.
Why do I still see weeds after a treatment?
Some weeds like nutsedge, violets, and wild garlic take multiple treatments across a season to fully control. Others need the following pre-emergent cycle to break the seed cycle. We’re honest about timelines.
